Organisational parts

The activity of the Borova Hora Arboretum focuses on:

creating and providing conditions for the use of the collection fund for pedagogical, scientific and technical activities of the Technical University in Zvolen (TUZVO) and other scientific and professional institutions within Slovakia,
saving and preserving (archiving) indigenous and endangered species of Slovak dendroflora,
solving scientific research tasks especially in the field of forestry and park dendrology in cooperation with the faculties of the TUZVO and other universities,
solving the professional tasks resulting from the programme of saving and protection of the Slovak dendrogenofond according to the concept of expanding the ABH collections,
cultural and educational work within the broader community tasks of arboretums and botanical gardens,
economic activity focused mainly on the expansion of decorative forms of the original species of trees, roses, cacti and succulents,
fulfilling the purpose-built works for the needs of the TUZVO.
