The Borova Hora Arboretum (also known as the ABH or the Arboretum) is one of the unique facilities of its kind. The professional focus is on the original dendroflora of Slovakia. It has given it a unique and original character in the Central European area. The extensive tree species collection involves more than 500 coniferous and deciduous tree species as well as more than their 1,000 different forms or cultivated varieties, and 1,500 geographical origins. Furthermore, the ABH contains the largest collection of roses in the Slovak Republic. It includes more than 800 varieties of bed, park, climbing and miniature roses, in the total number of nearly 3,500 pieces from Slovakia and the Czech Republic, and also other resistant varieties from other countries.
